About me

I lived and worked in the City of London as a high flying Chartered Accountant, for the past 4 years. I worked at the number one firm in my industry and spent my days managing teams, liaisng with partners and advising Finance Directors of some of the largest firms in the world. Sometimes pulling an all nighter to meet a tight stock market deadlines.

I'm a city girl at heart and being amongst the hustle and bustle of the Capital, where anything and everything is on offer, was really exciting. It's where I met my husband and gave birth to my first, and so far only, child. It's no secret that she will hopefully be one of many. However, like many young couples living in the City, we had a deposit for a home but unless we wanted to live in a one bedroom box we couldn't buy.

So we bought in the country and moved when Lady F was one week old. Moving to a small village where I knew no one else and as a brand new mother was really tough. Oh, and did I mention we were living with no furniture in a work in progress house (our minimal belongings were moved in the morning I went into labour). Thank goodness for the camp chair I had to breastfeed on. Slowly, I made some mummy friends and got to grips with how to care for someone entirely dependent on me whilst running a household. Looking back now, it was quite the journey. We rode through it with lots of smiles and finding joy in the ever changing precious bundle that has been entrusted to us.

10 months on and i'm a working as a full time mother, or as I like to refer to it, everyone's everything else. I work in the hustle and bustle of our home. I spend my days managing nap times, liaising with dirty nappies and advising Lady F on how the world works. I often pull all nighters to get through teething. My payment is lots of smiles, giggles and watching a mini me grow into a little person with her own personality and humour.

I wouldn't change it for the world.
